GooRu Systems collects information you choose to provide when you use our website, create an account, describe your business, begin a project, communicate with us, request support, or use services provided through GooRu.

This may include your name, email address, business information, project requirements, brand and content materials, communications, uploaded assets, account information, and technical or operational information generated through your use of the service.

We use information to understand what you are trying to accomplish, provide and improve GooRu services, create and operate digital assets, authenticate users, manage projects, provide support, process transactions, maintain security, and meet legal or contractual obligations.

We aim to collect and use only the information reasonably required for the purpose at hand.

The ideas, business information, project context, content and other materials you bring to GooRu remain yours.

GooRu uses that information to provide services to you. We do not treat your business information as our own business property simply because it has been provided to the platform.

Customer projects and business context are intended to remain separated from other customers. Access to project information is governed through authenticated accounts, project ownership and authorized operational access.

GooRu uses artificial intelligence as part of some services. Depending on the task, bounded project information or business context may be sent to an authorized third-party AI provider so that the requested work can be performed.

GooRu is designed to work across different AI providers rather than permanently binding a customer or project to one model or vendor.

We do not claim that every AI request is anonymous or fully de-identified. GooRu is continuing to verify and strengthen the boundary that determines what information is necessary for external AI processing and what identifying information can be removed before processing.

We do not intentionally send unrelated customer information to an AI provider for a task that does not require it.

GooRu relies on specialized third-party service providers to operate portions of the platform. These may include cloud infrastructure, authentication, database and storage services, application hosting, payment processing, analytics and AI processing providers.

Providers receive information only as required for the services they perform, subject to their own contractual, technical and legal obligations.

Because GooRu is provider-neutral in several parts of its architecture, individual providers may change as technology and service requirements evolve.

Payment transactions are processed using third-party payment services such as Stripe. GooRu may retain transaction identifiers, subscription status, billing state and related commercial records required to operate the service.

Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy and security practices.

GooRu may collect technical and usage information such as browser information, device information, page activity, application events, diagnostic information and similar telemetry used to understand performance, reliability and user experience.

Where analytics or similar technologies require consent or additional notice under applicable law, GooRu will implement the appropriate controls as the production service is finalized.

GooRu uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or loss.

These safeguards include authenticated access, role and project ownership controls, protected credentials, controlled production operations and security practices appropriate to the systems being operated.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Our responsibility is to use reasonable safeguards and continue improving them as the platform develops.

We retain information for as long as reasonably required to provide services, operate projects, maintain security and business records, satisfy legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes and support legitimate operational requirements.

You may contact us regarding deletion of personal information or project information. Some information may need to be retained where required by law, financial-record obligations, security requirements, backups, dispute records or other legitimate operational requirements.

We are continuing to formalize retention periods and end-to-end deletion procedures across the production platform.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information held about you and to request correction of inaccurate information.

Other privacy rights may apply depending on where you are located and the nature of the service being provided.

GooRu Systems is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and serves customers who may be located in other countries.

Some service providers may process or store information outside Alberta or outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

GooRu handles personal information in accordance with applicable Alberta and Canadian privacy requirements and, where required, applicable privacy obligations arising from the location of the individual, customer or processing activity.

When GooRu operates a digital system on behalf of a customer, that customer may determine how information from its own users, employees or customers is collected and used.

In those situations GooRu may process information on the customer’s behalf and subject to the customer’s lawful instructions, the services being provided and applicable privacy requirements.

GooRu may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, service providers, technology and legal requirements evolve.

Material changes will be reflected by updating the date shown on this page and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice.
